Effective August 1st, 2023, Custom Countdown will implement a new policy requiring all newly created countdown clocks to garner at least two (2) views per month. Please note, this change does not impact countdown clocks established prior to August 1st, 2023.
Every countdown clock displays a view count at the screen’s bottom and on the clock’s analytics page, accessible from the ‘About’ section of each clock. This count represents the total number of views for each page. For clocks subject to this policy, a dedicated section within the clock analytics will confirm whether the minimum view quota has been met.
This policy will start about 2 – 3 weeks after Aug 01, but will still enforce the view count requirement for all countdown clocks created after that period.
Certain clocks are exempt from this policy:
- Clocks created before August 1st, 2023.
- Clocks created by users with permission.
- manually exempted by the admin.
These exempt clocks won’t be subject to this policy. However, all clocks must be opened within 14 days of creation to maintain database cleanliness.
In a similar vein, if there are multiple clocks with matching titles and dates, only the newest will be retained. All duplicates will be removed, without exceptions. This applies to all clocks, past, present, or future, ensuring compliance with the new policy.
